Sam Hayes recently defended his PhD in Classics at the University of Exeter. His doctoral research considered how a book of epigrams (short, individual poems) work as a concept, and how such a book would have been received and put together in the 1st Century AD.
He also teaches a bit of Latin and the odd seminar for modules within the university’s Classics and Ancient History department. His favourite colour is green and he can play the tuba & baritone horn (though not at the same time).
